It looks like an interesting tool, but the key to become confident speed readers is to develop the ability to read multiple words at a glance, even multiple lines simultaneously. If you think that is not possible, think about pianists who read two lines of music at the same time!
This tool shows only one word at a time, hence will still encourage students to read single words, so although it might speed their reading, I am not sure it will be able to take them beyond a certain threshold they are actually capable of exceeding.

Here are two I think you will love: The first is called "Visual Poetry" and the other one is called "Wordificator." Wordificator let's you use any silhouette or shape in your album (or you can use the shapes provided)
and gives you total control over the color scheme. It also has a large selection of fonts. You can even invert the word cloud and have the words in the background and the shape in the foreground. With Visual Poetry, you are limited to using only the shapes they provide, but you can add additional text for emphasis, and manipulate, resize and rotate it to your liking. You can also ReColor text manually,

This is good, some people need help with with bullying and may not be getting advice that they keep to over come getting picked on, a lot of people just need friends or to tell someone whats going on and the cause of the problem. Great read!

AndroidScript is a really great, free Android App suitable for kids around 12 years old and above. It teaches 'real' coding skills using JavaScript and allows coding directly on a tablet or phone, so students can code anywhere... even on the bus to school! Search for 'AndroidScript' (one word) on Google Play.

What about websites that can be used on the tablet? Code.org is fantastic as is touchdevelop's Hour of Code! Also Khan Academy is quite good.
